BRAZIL NUTS FLOUR

How do you get it?

Brazil nut flour is made from 100% organic nuts. Brazil nuts in shells are cleaned and selected to remove impurities and damaged nuts, then a pressure vapor dose is applied in order to produce an autoclave thermal shock, thus softening the density of the shell to ease its subsequent mechanical peeling.

They are then peeled, trimmed and dehydrated in ovens at 75 degrees Celsius or 163 degrees Fahrenheit for about 14 hours on average. Finally, Brazil nuts undergo a cold pressing process to reduce the percentage of fat.

Flakes are obtained from this procedure, which are subjected to a process through which they are ground in a hammer mill until the appropriate granulometry is obtained. The fat content of the flour is about 14%.

Uses

Brazil nut meal can be used in the production of protein bars, energy foods, various cereals, muesli, biscuits, marzipan, diet drinks, as protein enriches other flours, cereals and foods.
